I don't know. I have no knowledge not having been within yards of a tractor until a week or so ago and still haven't sat on one. But I fancied (and still do) a Kubota 7610 and was quoted $14.5K with FEL compared to $15K for the T233. Just from having a brief look at the two the Kubota looked longer in the tooth, I read its quarter inching valve and mower removal are not the easiest to deal with. The TYM looks like a solid machine with a fine looking operator console, somewhat better PTO HP. The TYM was in a showroom which might have exagerated its size but it looked no less substantial. I was also quoted $15K for a Mahindra 2415 w/ FEL so I don't see where the TYM price is all that out of whack. Other than it is somewhat pretty, and doesnt' have a chimney like a proper tractor should it looks promising to me. I thought buying a car was tough but the tractor world with its semi-secret pricing and quotes all over the map from the same dealer to different people is a piece of work.

Late to the party but:
Can I ask what you bought? I too am in this dealer quandry of pricing and was quoted 21,400.00 for the T273 TLB. (in state 21,200.00)

I just drove the thing its just about perfect for my needs size-hp-handling-ergonomics are super. The price is hard to swallow though. Mahindra 2415 I've looked at twice now it just looks skimpy as far as fit and finish. Kioti ck20 just seems underpowered for implements I need to own.
I just love this TYM as far as all around.....the extra 2k-2500.00 is a deal breaker unless I find that PA. pricing. 19,5 - 20k....

If you haven't bought one yet maybe we can work a package deal together buy one get one. :)

Not apples to apples but I bought a Montana T2734 with FEL on March 30th., $14625 plus tax. I put $1500 down and financed the balance 36mo/0%apr. The tractor is made by TYM so its probably the same tractor.

That's about what I was quoted in PA also, last spring. I think it's about $2K too much. I was able to get a CK25 TLB gear with phd, 7' woods back blade for $1.5K less. The CK25 is a lot more tractor. But it is exactly that - a lot more tractor, which isn't what everyone wants.

Add a backhoe to the Montana and you're probably close to the TYM price.

Exactly, so different in fact they aren't really comparable. TYM advantages for guys/gals that want a smaller machine yet has enough backbone to do many tasks.
Its really hard to beat. HP-HST-Maneuverability-Ergonomics-FEL are hard to beat in this weight realm. I agree for me the 2-2.5k more makes the decision hard.
So 21k +/- a few hundred is what most are quoted? (T273 TLB)

Actually after some quick research TYM is the EXACT same machine and Montana no longer carries it. If you click on their site for the T2734 then dealers in your area it comes up TYM.
The links are down for the Montana T2734 , but if you price it with their finance calculator it still comes up? Looks like a switch was made....

I'd buy the green machine anyday love the color for a tractor. ;)

I am waiting for my dealer to email me back. If they agree to my price I'm getting it ,if not, either keep looking or wait for a leftover. I could grab the CK20 and pray its enough machine.

Tom59,

I wanted to settle on a tractor before the end of March. The TYM is the one I really liked, but in the end went down in size to a Kubota BX24. Will see how things work out as the season progresses.

What size implements do you need to run? Most people use 48" bush hog but some run 60" models. Finish mowers are usually 60" but again some have used 72" with success. BH is a 6.5ft model and works well. FEL lifts about 1070lbs at pivot pins and has plenty of power and lift with a grapple.

My only issue with power and the CK20 is that when fitted out with BH or bush hog I find the high range of HST useful only on a flat road. Most work is done with the low range. I agree a few or even 5 more hp would be sweet but the CK20 has been a fine worker for me.

I took delivery of the TYM T273 today already dug up a stump.:) Very ,very happy HST has the dual pedals, BH comes off really easy, FEL loader comes off easy too. The bucket is two levers, boom its off, the machine's fel also takes bobcat implements.
Love the size ...This thing turns on a dime. 5yr warranty....
Fel handles 1350lbs , BH is identical to the CK , I'm betting the same manufacturer. My dealer came down enough to easily justify the differences.

That said, I'm sure the CK is a great machine. My decision came down to the hp and maneuverability and ergonomics vs the price difference. I need a woodchipper ....for my implement.

If anyone in the Mass, Ct, RI, area and want a TYM give these folks a call. Super nice people....top notch. Ask for Mike M.

The 273 sounds like a very sweet machine. I have never seen one and TYM was not on my radar screen while I was shopping a couple of years ago but I'm sure I would have looked carefully at one had I been aware of them.
