The 273 sounds like a very sweet machine. I have never seen one and TYM was not on my radar screen while I was shopping a couple of years ago but I'm sure I would have looked carefully at one had I been aware of them.

I don't think you had that option back then? I believe it was released last year.

You certainly didn't make a mistake the CK20 is a badarse little mochene. ;)

Thank you !

Me too...overall its been great. Great handler, very strong FEL, good ergonomics, engine is quiet, so far so good...
I used it to dig stumps , bury brush, landscaping so far.

I like the fiberglass fenders and hood ....no dings. Paint quality leaves something to be desired , but only on the FEL. I already found an exact match at NAPA. I'm happy.....

The lower exhaust mount is a joke, but easily fixed. They used some cheesy rubber grommets to hold it there and keep vibrations down, good idea, poor execution. I made my own , its now super quiet and my grommets are beefier.
Seems to be excellent on fuel too.

I'll report any problems as time goes on or lack thereof....;)

Sounds like the first month has gone well if your biggest beef is an undersized rubber grommet.:)

Actually after some quick research TYM is the EXACT same machine and Montana no longer carries it. If you click on their site for the T2734 then dealers in your area it comes up TYM.
The links are down for the Montana T2734 , but if you price it with their finance calculator it still comes up? Looks like a switch was made....

I'd buy the green machine anyday love the color for a tractor. ;)

I am waiting for my dealer to email me back. If they agree to my price I'm getting it ,if not, either keep looking or wait for a leftover. I could grab the CK20 and pray its enough machine.

Actually, Montana does still carry both the T2734 & the T2334 models. They are the same tractors as the TYM 273 and 233. I just bought a Montana T2334 and love it. It has TYM written all over it...dashboard, engine, etc. Great machine.

Yeah but them rubber grommets can mean child support. lol

I've been using the machine all summer a few minor beefs , but all will be fixed under warranty. The tractor while in neutral seems to stay in reverse ever so slightly just enough to make gear changes hard. Not a big deal and very hard to figure out the adjustment method.
I also have an issue with the FEL joystick it sticks in forward position if you over extend your hand and can lock in that position (down) ,but its another minor thing.
Beyond that and the exhaust BS its a little beast of a machine. I've done extensive digging and drainage work here very easy machine to manuever which was the biggest downfall with other machines in this class. Very fast with the peddal positioning.
One other tidbit if you buy one take the radiator shroud out and re-paint it and re-paint anything showing rust, mine was left outdoors at the dealer and it was a VERY wet spring. I also used a spray in bedliner (in the can) to spray under the mats and around the driver areas to protect it and keep the mat in place, worked excellent.
I sprayed oil on and greased anything that moves. Need to change the oil and fluids and give her new filters ....get ready for fall and winter here.

Enjoy....

The loader control lever locking forward is the float position. I have the same thing on my T330. It works great for cleaning snow or dirt on the cement floor.

I think you are describing the float position for the FEL. That is a normal feature and essentially allows the bucket to ride along the nap of the earth rather than digging in. Very important for plowing snow and a few other tasks. Bottom line is that what you describe is a "function" not a problem.

.....mine sticks in the down position which makes the bucket dive down into the ground. Thats not floating....the T273 has a slide that does that... keeps it locked.

Not sure how I can describe it any better. Its certainly not floating though. It never did it when I bought the machine it started recently. Mine digs right in.....HARD full down position before you can react!

I just am careful with it till its looked at.

The float position does not automatically change the bucket curl/dump angle so you do need to be careful that the bucket is level. Don't know if that might be why yours digs in. If your bucket was curled it couldn't dig in and if it was level it should only scrape along the surface.

The lever/slide that can lock the FEL I think I recall can prevent any FEL movement or perhaps lock it into the float position but is not typically how you put the FEL into float. Pushing all the way forward on the FEL controller until you pass an indent (you can feel it) is how most FELs go into float.
