Still Cast Iron in the ground.

Managing property I run into it all but PEX so far.

Clay, Cast Iron, Galvanized and Black pipe, Copper, Orangeberg, Transite, ABS, Lead…

Copper pipe, unlike copper wiring isn't all copper. It's an alloy. Think I'd stick to cutting off catalytic converters and scrapping them.

My parents had plumbing installed in our home in the early 60's. Everything copper up the 3" drains, fittings and vent pipes. All soldered connections
The house my dad had built in '57 had all copper pipes, including the drain pipes.
