As a business owner if someone told me I was #9 on their list of quoting I'd probably say "Good luck with your project" and pass on quoting. As a buyer of a major purchase I'd shop to my hearts desire. I've found over the years that most of the time the anticipation of a purchase is as good or better than actually having the item. Once it's in you possession there's taxes, license, maintenance and all the other chores of ownership to take care of. So, enjoy the shopping.

I totally understand that. My wife's like that. I am not. The shopping is the crappy part. Ownership and use of the item is my pleasure.

As a sales manager if I found out somebody had shopped eight places before shopping my shop trying to buy a tractor, I'd ask the potential customer if I want a sale, all I need do is start telling them yes, and answered affirmatively, get on making my newest relationship my newest customer.

This industry is awash with poor sales people, lousy sales managers and industry people who don't care about retail customers. Be different and sell a product with a positive experience because we're in the relationship business.

I agree... I appreciate sales folks who first know their stuff and don't BS me. Better yet they try to understand my needs/wants before pushing a product!

I've never even met my Kubota salesman.lol I emailed him about a tractor, he shot back his price. I was fine with the price and he threw in bucket hooks and a canopy at cost. He called me and we faxed papers back and forth. That was it. I met the guy that delivered the tractor but never my salesman who's only an hour away. I'm sure I'll eventually meet him if/when I need parts or more implements or something.

I like that the dealer in town is just minutes away. Also they have a huge staff and every time I go there I get one on one attention from a rep. Also I like keeping the business close to home.

I bought my X320 from that dealer in 2007 and almost 900 hours later I'd buy again from them in a heartbeat. They weren't the cheapest (nor the most expensive) but I have no regrets- I've been well treated over the years- they treat their residential customers just as well as the big ag guys. The fact that they're close by is a real bonus and like others have said, you are buying a dealer as much as a tractor- choose wisely.

I wanted the 1025r, hydraulic lift 60d mmm, and 54" blower front mount with quick hitch kit and shaft ect.

11,250 was the cheapest i was quoted for the tractor. but that same dealer was charging 3100 for the deck.

3,900 installed was the cheapest i found for the blower.

Best out the door price i was offered for the package was $18,200 (Savage MN location) out the door before tax and highest was 19,500.

I'm trying hard to get a good deal and having some trouble finding the right price. Does anyone have any pointers in what to ask for and what to say to get the best price? Can I just buy each item at all the individual dealerships for the best prices?

Is there anything I missed in my quote? Need some help friends.
So, what did you get?
