3 HP doesn't sound like much, but in the case of these tractors, it is about a 10% difference. The 4310 that I rented came up a little short a couple of times using a power landscape rake (Piranha) so I knew that I needed a bit more power.
Had the 3520 carried the same spec (it lacks intercooler) as the 3720, I'd have bought it, and made the HP increase myself.
I too find it a bit disappointing to see all of these tractor models on the same platform with only HP separating them. The increase in model numbers is obviously in response to the Kubota line having so many model choices. This is pointed out in the 4000-Twenty article on this site.
