One thing I could never figure out is “rebates” and “cash back”. Why not just give me a discount instead? It’s about that time with all the smoke and mirrors that I get little pin wheels in my eyes and just sign the paperwork not knowing what I actually paid.

It's marketing and promotion. Rebates and Cash Back often results in money in your pocket you can spend on additional products while financing as much as possible based on the "original price". The worst part for the consumer is that you usually pay tax on the price before the rebate.

I'm looking at buying anew Kubota very soon (Like this weekend). Can someone tell me if the Kubota insurance is REQUIRED by Kubota in order to take advantage of their financing? I contacted my homeowners company and they said the tractor would be fully covered by my homeowners policy as long as I'm not driving it on the road.

Does anyone have any info on the insurance requirements for Kubota financing?

It is not "required" but insurance meeting their requirements is required.Your homeowners insurance won't qualify. KTAC insurance, among other things, covers flood loss and loss while not on the insured location, which your policy excludes.

By the way, the KTAC is pretty cheap IMO, and well worth it. If the tractor goes down you have warranty and insurance with the same company. No arguing who is responsible

Someone mentioned 1.3% early on in this thread. Is that the cost of kubota insurance? So I can tack $32.00 a month into my payment for Kubota insurance? Hmm. Hopefully my homeowners will cover the tractor. I can稚 afford another 30.00 a month. Gotta draw the line someplace

When its financed, Kubota is protecting themselves from potential loss with the insurance. KTAC covers the tractor regardless if its on your property or not, so when in transit to repair, anywhere basically. Typically with homeowners, once it leaves your property its not covered anymore. I would assume if you finance with Kubota they would ask you to provide some proof of adequate insurance that meets their requirements.
