Pricing pallet forks

A bit more expensive these days but looks like about $250 today, for the parts I used.

I bought a 1/2” thick QD “blank”

Cut a couple holes in it.

Found some 3000 lb spikes (little tractor can’t even lift that anyway no need for real forks).

I did add a couple gussets on the back side though.

This vs real forks, the chain hooks are quite helpful for tall loads, without the added support my actual fork lifts have.

We mostly use it for hay but it works well for branches/trees. Used it this weekend moving two refrigerators the reach is nice, allows you to reach over steps much better than actual forklift.

I did spend a few weeks on Craigslist and FB marketplace, but found nothing in my area.
Just watching doesn't work well because the real good deals go fast. Try using searchtempest or something similar. You plug in key words and the distance you are willing to travel and searchtempest does the rest. It will send you a text the second something is listed. You have to have the money ready though...from the time I got the text to the time I was handing him the money was less than an hour and he lived just about an hour away. If you don't grab them quick they will be gone.

Good tip for other future purchases, thanks!

I love "roll your own" stuff like this, nice job!

I built me some debris forks last year, using steel from the metal crate which my mower shipped in.
