Epson 1280. When I was looking, my Photo teacher and others who want hi-res photo print outs recommended it over all othere. In thier expierience, the HP worked good, but lacked in the red color range.
We have had ours for a year now. We scan both slides and pictures; the results have been very very good.
It will print to a full 13" width, and can handle a roll of paper for 13"x10' I think. For most digital camera's out there though, an 8x10 is the outside limit for a hi-res picture without pixelation.
The Epson 7xx series has most the features and resolution, but takes smaller paper size. It also costs less.
