Problem With New Yanmar??

Say Arthr31, the John Deere site is doing OK most of the time. I don't get on there as much as here, I'm still a Yanmar man, of course my JD is made by Yanmar. We didn't get hardly any rain for over 2 month, maybe more like 3 so haven't used it much, along with my wife is in very bad shape, so can't leave her alone hardly at all anymore. We finally got about 2 inches the other day, then no more, don't know when we will get more. Of course when it comes it won't know when to quit.

You don't have to apologize, Mr. Dick...............I didn't know you were 72 years old......... I would have NEVER said that to an elderly person.......You are just a hair below my paw-paw's age at 76............Lord, I don't know what i'll do if something happens to him......

Anyway, I have no hard feelings towards you or anybody on TBN..............This is my hobby...........It keeps me from going on one of my what I call, "drinking sprees".

I really enjoy it here, sharing information with everyone.

Thanks,

Travis

Wish I could give you some of my rain, Dick. We have had some pretty torrential downpours this summer. We had recently gone for about 3 weeks without rain and the farmers were starting to worry about the corn. During the last week it has rained about 5 days. Yesterday evening we got enough in 2 hours to flood the roads and my yard and it was still raining when I went to bed. I would like to see it quit now for a few days. I hope your wife is feeling better.

Nobody wants you to leave the forum, Travis. I'm sure everyone wants your tractor to get fixed and for you to enjoy it.

In my old age, my memory is poor, but I think they said if was 2 million acres of cotton it gone in Texas from no rain over there, and the cotton in MS is also in very bad shape. So guys even if you could send us rain, I'm afraid its a little late for the farmers. Of course the kind of grass we have here, all it takes is a little rain, and it gets green and grows, just like we had been getting it all along.

Travis, I just want to say one more time..... don't run your tractor engine wide open. Run it at 2200 rpms u can add a little throttle to keep it there. That is what the foot throttle is for. You get into some thick stuff give a little more fuel... When you lowered your rpms you stopped overheating.
Also if your unit does get a little hot or even up to operating temp don't just shut it off to cool it down. Idle it down to about 800 rpms and let it run there for about 5 minutes. (with no load of course) Also, EFC goes to Japan all the time. He sees the VN dudes buying up the junkiest units. I like my Vina tractor. I do not know if they are better then the rest but I like mine. It has been a real good unit so far. Very interesting about what EFC said about the remanufacturers closing off the insides of the radiators. I think that there is alot of hanky panky going on in the trade. I like my unit though. I think it is a good unit. I bet your's is good too. Just don't run the thing wide open. It sounds like your radiator is a little clogged if your not getting good flow with a garden hose.... I bet recoring it and not working your engine so hard will solve any issue you have with it. I run a 4ft brush hog on my 2210 and it can bog down at 2200 rpm in really tall thick stuff. The slower I go the less this occurs. I run a 6ft king cutter tiller and it can till up anything provided I go slow enough. Prebroke ground does not require low speed but I like to use the creeper gear any how just to powderize the soil.. Fun!!!!!

Thanks for this entertaining thread. Keep posting. I think RCO is stand up.

Travis, before you re-install the radiator, I highly recommend that you back-flush your block. Insert a garden hose into the lower radiator hose and seal with raqs.
Run water full blast up through the block and out the upper hose until it runs clear, (it should run out as fast as it goes in). I'm betting it runs 160 degrees when you finish.

Well Ernie, I think he knows it now, but doesn't really want admit it. But what can he do. I don't think he will be able to get his money back. And May have a hard time getting it fixed right. We were young once to, and made mistakes, lol. Anyway, I have a question, I wished I would have asked, and that is. If the recons were any good, why wouldn't the other dealers that has been in business for many years, buy them?? I'm sure they can get them much cheaper, maybe its because they can't stand behind them, and keep the same customers coming back. Just a question.
