Problems at the well pump...

/ Problems at the well pump... #11
My dad says that you have to pump the holding tank (or pressure tank, is that what's called?) with air. That's why there's a Schrader valve on the tank. He says you have to open a faucet and put an air chuck on the Schrader valve and fill the tank up to the Schrader valve. I don't know if this is right, but he's only replaced points probably five times in 30 years. His well serves his house, plus three others also. I've never done this airing up procedure to my tank (been there two years now, but house is almost 30 years old), but the well will kick on everytime you use a water device.
