Yes, that's why I went with Generac. But non of them are full service, just dealers that install w/electrical. No mechanical troubleshoot/repair. If I ever do this again, that's one thing that I'll be more aware of when picking a brand & dealer The dealer in Mercer WI is a full service dealer and the closest for mechanical tech service, and they're 65mi from me.

Wow,, I thought all sellers had to have serv. tecks.. We only have 5 employees in our company and 2 are fully certified,, I guess it doesn't pay to be in the state that makes Generac ..

na, generac offers classes to train service techs, but you dont have to be service tech to install the units.

The best advice I can give to anyone thinking about buying a Gen-set, no matter what brand, or whoever you buy it from, make sure you a full service dealer that is a reasonable distance from your location. Lots of Dealers sell and install them, but only a few dealers offer full support.
