If all else fails why not just purchase a copy of PrintShop and complete the installation. Then you can uninstall it if you don't want it and put it up for sale on ebay. Unless you installed the professional version it looks like a 3 user version sells for under $30.00. Your time has got to be worth more than that!

The real trick is in trying to find the object (probably a dll) that is causing the Installer self heal to activate.

Assuming it is a remnant of Print Shop that is causing the error, I would first suggest that you search the entire registry for any ocurrances of "PrintShop" then "Print Shop". If no hits then try just "Shop". If still no hits then it's time to rethink the alternatives.

If you logon as administrator does the problem still happen?

Have you checked the application event log in the event viewer?

I would have done that if I knew exactly which version was installed. From what I have been told, you have to have the exact same version to install and then uninstall. I don't know the reason, but some software requires you to insert the disk when you do a uninstall as well as the install. This is the problem... /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Not sure this will apply to your situation, but may be worth a look.
