Thanks, it was something new for us. We have always had some carpet and either hardwood or the pergo-like stuff. The color is a mix of black and umber from Kemiko.

Glad you are getting closer to getting in. The floors look great. I am not a fan of your wainscoting on the walls. Color is too close to the floor.

Builder is saying 2 weeks. Our SxS just got delivered this afternoon. My garage/shop is officially full.

The tire is right up against the tractor bucket. Just enough room to close the door.

We had a little shipping damage on some appliances, but they are getting those replaced in the next couple of days. LG is sending their own guy out to ensure the fridge door is done right.

I have what appears to be the same refrigerator. We've had it a couple of years now and really like it. Seems like there is more space inside it then any other fridge that we've ever owned.

Some of the stone work is almost done. Just a bit to fix near the bottom of the firebox.

The same stone will be in the main house entry (outside) and the bedroom fireplace (same, but with 9' flat ceiling).

Painter has to come back and finish touch ups. Still have some outstanding punch list items, but most of them are waiting on parts or in one case an injury. Nothing that is a safety or health issue. Scratches, a couple of missing cabinet features, missing mounting hardware. It's always something.

Your fireplace book will have a chart showing how far above the fireplace you have to put the mantel. It also says how far out the mantel can go, depending on the height above the fireplace. What sucks, is that height is always a lot more then people want. It looks odd to have it so far up there, but it's a fire hazard if it's where most people want it.

I've had several jobs where the mantel was too low, and the wood was coming apart. In one case, she bought a concrete mantel that looked just like wood. Since it wasn't combustible, I felt comfortable mounting it where she wanted it.

Is that a real log that you are using for a mantel?
