With 3 acres i really dont mind being fenced it, there really is not a whole lot to see other than some more grass and i can still see all the trees. So it works for me, and now we dont have to keep our dogs locked up in the back yard. They can rome around where ever they want and not get away. And our coatimundi can be outside sometimes now also

How on earth did you get a coatimundi? I haven't seen one of those since I went to Mazatlan in 1980. The owners had it on a leash and had set out some fresh fruit for it to eat. I watched him catch a fly out of the air with one paw. Impressed, I was. Seems like he's able to get on top of just about anything by looking at your pics. How much trouble is he?

I guess the only thing I don't like about a fence is it also blocks the breeze. When I lived in the city, my backyard was hotter than a steel mill. No breeze.

Well you can get them from an exotic vet in texas they are about 1k shipped as a baby and you have to bottle feed then, The one we have now is so nice and loving he is like a cat almost. He loves to climb stuff and be up high on shevles and cabniets. We built him an outdoor house thats heated and insulated so he can be happy and not live in a cage. We let him in the house almost everyday for a few hours for him to play with the cat and get some attention.

They are not good pets unless you want to give them the time, most people neglect them and leave them caged up and they can get mean and bite. Ralph is so nice its not even funny, the only time he has bitten me was when he had stolen my wallet and i tried to get it back from him they love to chew on important stuff, wallets, belts, cell phones, car keys etc

There are better things to do then argue about my fence
Not to some know-it-alls.

The fence is yours. What is important is that you are happy with it. I'm sure it will help keep the neighbors out of sight. I hope they are quiet! Cool pet.

creekbend, Your points may or may not be valid. I did not nor will I post a comment to either the title of this thread or any of the general points made in here. I have my own thoughts about the credibility of the OP's thought process and they are only be valid to me. What I will point out is that taking shots at someone by name, whether you use sentence by sentence breakdowns to validate your thoughts or to attempt to get a rubuttal from them is not my way. I do not believe you have done so, and you still have gotten your point across.

Finally, as a general thought directed at no one specifically, I spent many years in the Military having it ingrained in my thought process that I should defend your right to have your say - I did not go to the lectures that said I was required to agree with you or be called out. That is a habitual thing...
Dear Sir: the first sentence of my post states - "It is and never was my intention to attempt to dictate what any individual can or should do in regards to their own private property".By stating the "Exact" previous statements by the OP, in my post, I was only attempting to provide the possibility why some members made their negative comments in reply. It was not intended to be an act that required a rebuttal by you that cited my method as "Habitual". I also served our Great Country and am well aware of the military mindset. Utilizing "Deductive Reasoning" and citing exact previous statements, poses no intended threat to the character of anyone. If my post was taken to be regarded as somewhat condescending, it most definitely was not intended to be. I see no fault, whatsoever, when one states exact quotes by another and utilizes deductive reasoning. In conclusion, I wish "Jokergerm" the very best and hope that everything works out positively. I apologize for not responding earlier, but I have been busy taking care of matters on the home front. I hope everyone has a nice Fourth Of July.

I appreciate your thoughtful response creekbend, and frankly tried to make a point that was intended as a general comment that was not directed at you. I can see from re-reading my post that it would look like it was, and apologize to you for that. Hopefully we can all enjoy celebrating the birth of our nation.

There was no need to apologize, but Thank You. This is a forum and there will always be misunderstandings. In the end, we can all reach common ground if we possess patience and diligence. BTW, My wife and I were married in 1971, after I completed my tour, and we still have disagreements. Just part of basic Human nature. Here's wishing everyone a great FOURTH.
