Paul...attached is a picture of my latest restoration. Its a '72 Simplicity Powermax. 20hp Onan twin, 3-range hydrostat, front rear PTO, 3-point, etc. I also have a pile of attachments for it - including a FEL. Great tractors!

Looks nice, you did a good job. I like those rear tires. What kind are they?

That is a nice job, it is getting harder to find smaller garden tractors nowadays. My grandfather has a couple of the old Sears Surburbans that he still uses. I wish these lawn tractors that companies make now would last as long. Have fun and keep up the great work.

The rear tires are Goodyear Terra Tires (Xtra Trac) 31X15.50-15. Simplicity and AC referred to them as "high floatation" tires. Excellent traction yet they are easy on the turf. They look very similar to Kubota's "bar turf" tires available on the B7500.

You sure thats not a mower? It's got a PTO driveshaft on top of it.

She a beauty.
I like the style of those fenders.
About how much does she weigh w/the fel on,and do you have rear ballast?

I think it would tip the scales at about 2300 -2500 pounds with the FEL. The FEL is a Danco model and it is built (as well as all other attachments) HEAVY DUTY. I use a 48" Simplicity Tiller for rear ballast. I don't have the rear tires loaded - to keep the weight down for mowing. Nothing mows like a Simplicity - great MMM decks. Oh, BTW, this tractor - as well as the many attachments - is for sale. Just in case someone is interested.

Keep an eye on http://atis.net
YT Mag has lots of older stuff in both thier classifieds and photo classifieds. They range from really old up into the '70's.

Also, keep an eye on http://Ebay.com. Do a simple search on "Tractor", and sort by highest price. There's almost always tractors like you describe, on Ebay.

From YTMag and ATIS, there are lots of links. You might want to check out some of the clubs. They usually will put in a classified ad in thier newsletter.
