Does anyone know anything about them ?
Specifically the 210 model.
There's one for sale locally (used). I haven't looked at it yet.
Thanks,

I have owned one for about 6 years. Mine has a 16hp Briggs. It works great but u need to learn how to use it. These things are dangerous and can hurt you if you get careless. I wear a wood cutters hard hat with flip-down screen face shield. It has saved my head many times. If you can buy it for $1500 or less its a good deal assuming it works ok. It should eat a 4" 2x4 in 15 sec. or so. Reach in the intake shoot (not running) and feel the edge of the knifes. If it is rolled over you will need to remove them and have them (2) sharpened by a tool grinder. Knife to anvil clearance is to be set at .025 (matchbook) thickness. Check the flywheel bearings for looseness with a crow bar, pry the shaft up and down, the flywheel weighs about 100 lbs. so the crow bar is a big help. The clutch arm must tighten against the drive belts when you engage it with the engine off. Move the lever around to see how loose all the hardwear has become. These chippers do a lot of work but you will have be ready to do the maintenance.

Thanks for the info. John.
I never did go to check it out. He was asking 1100.00 obo.
I'm still not sure I want to maintain another engine. I've really been thinking about a 3pt. Both have pros and cons.
I may give him another call to see if it's still available.

I labored over the same problem. I resolved the following,
A hour of operation on a Briggs costs less than my tractor in terms of wear and tear not fuel.
I can park the promark in a work area and use the tractor for other things including skidding brush and branches to the chipper.
I borrowed a neighbors bearcat 3-point last year, it did a good job but didnt like the fact I couldnt hear the tractor engine run, so in the event of a problem I couldnt shut things down fast.
I jammed the shoot up and smoked the belts before I could get to the tractor lever to disconnect the PTO.
Both chippers are gravity feed and jamming can be a problem if you feed leafy, wet or evergreen material.
$1100 is a good price but everything has to be in reasonable condition.
