As much as I dislike game wardens, I think he was probably right to issue a citation.
In a case like this, the deer should have been dropped off at the processors first then to the taxidermist, or have the nuts still attached in a bag to keep the hair from getting all over everything.
I'd say he got off easy myself, the game warden could have issued citations for killing deer out of season, spotlighting, seized the vehicle, or any other number of bad things.
