Prospective Bx 2230 buyer

I did not get the block heater...my BX22 is garaged (unheated) and starts up with no problem. But it's pretty inexpensive if you get it up front. You don't have to use it, but if it's there, it's available should the weather demand it.

'Very surprised that Mid-State was higher on your deal! My deal was $2K lower than H...not including the tax savings. I guess it's one of those "timing" things!

I got block heaters on both my tractors, more for me than them I guess...

If you start one cold in zero temps, you feel pretty bad as the noise is quite different than what you hear when you start one in the same temp range after the block heater has been on for a while... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Yes, great food at the PVT. It's ironic that we used to go to the Tavern more before we lived a half mile away from it.

Usually avoid it on the weekends (too many tourists).

After last years with temps below 0, I installed a block heater. My BX is also garaged and has Power Service added to fuel but it still took a long time to start the BX. It also made some WEIRD noises. By Long time I mean holding down the glow plugs for like 12 to 15 seconds. I figured a $37 heater (with shipping) is better then having the glow plugs life shortened buy some delta. The GP are not cheap. Also it is quicker to start so I can go out and play! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
