Proud New Owner of a BX23

Welcome to the BX23 Klub!

2. I ... would like to hear what the available Tillers are that are compatible/recommended (so far the Woods GTC40 seems the right buy).

How wide is the Woods tiller? (Sounds like maybe 40"???) With 80 hours of time on my BX23 so far, I am pretty well convinced that there is no need to go with anything (BB, RC, tiller, etc.) narrower than the tractor (48").

3. Sometimes ... there seems to be excess pressure in the lines ....

Yes, look through the procedure in the Operator's Manual again. IIRC, it says to cycle all of the control levers to all positions after shutting off the engine but before disconnecting hoses. That will relieve pressure.

4. ...the hydraulic lines felt very hot ...?

Yes, normal. Hydraulic fluid = transmission fluid, which is being pumped around quite a bit. One of the easiest ways to heat a fluid is to pump it through a restriction.

Enjoy!
