I tacked on the rear post for the hydraulic cylinder this afternoon. Used vice grips and a tape measure to guestimate that I will need approximately 8" cylinder. Now to surf the bailey's site with a credit card /w3tcompact/icons/tongue.gif

What is Bailey's site. Is it a hydraulics supplier. Could you post the address.
What type of end connections are you going to get on the cylinders. Power Trac seems to like the spherical bearing end connections on their cylinders, I'm not sure commercial term is for this type of end connection. From the hydraulic catalogs I have looked through, the spherical bearing type does not appear that prevalent.

Bailey's has LOTS of good hydraulic stuff. I'm pricing the cylinder there. Looks like about $65.00 + shipping. I just can't find one locally with an 8" stroke. I'll get the hoses and connectors locally (hopefuly)

Nothing to report... it is all put together except for the cylinder, cylinder mounts and hoses with quick connects. I have my eyes on a cylinder at Bailey's, but have to wait a few weeks for the holiday sticker shock to wear off before I spend any more of my money.... but you guys feel free to spend it for me, OK? /w3tcompact/icons/tongue.gif

Holy cow! Time flies, doesn't it? Forgot all about it, to tell you the truth. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Nothing has come up that I need it for yet.
It is done except for still needs cylinder(s) and hoses to complete. It opens and closes on the planes that I wanted. Will be handy for spring cleanup, so I better finish it over the winter. I'll have to check out the Surplus Center again to see if they have a cylinder that will suit my needs. I want something with a shorter profile than I can find at TSC. Hmmm....

Any idea what the bucket and grapple will weigh complete?
I have another question. When PT says 800 pounds lifting capacity is that net or gross. I ask because none of their literature tells how heavy the different implements are so it's tough to tell what the useful lifting capacity is.
