Here are some pictures to show the differences between Moss Road's PT-425 and the one I just received as detailed in posts yesterday and today.

This one, taken from the LEFT side shows the steel gas tank that is a part of the engine cover rather than a separate plastic one like Moss Road's. I've discovered (you might guess how, although no fire extinguishers were involved /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif) that you can barely tell what the fuel level is with this setup.

Redeeming feature shown in next photo.

Interesting...my 14 year old PT-1418 has the steel gas-tank built into the lid. I wonder why they went back to this design?

When will you be posting the "next" photo?

Catsco,
It's customary to reply to yourself in the same thread if you want to post multiple pictures of the same subject. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Thanks for the pictures. I like your desing much better than mine.

Dave-

Sorry - the pictures are under separate threads due to my inexperience in online forums. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

First, save the photo to your home computer. I like to use the jpeg format. If you can't save it as a jpeg, you will need to use some photo editing software to change the file format. There are some free ones out there. Here's a link to just one of them...
http://www.irfanview.com/

Second, you need to find the size of the photo. By size, I mean how many bytes it takes up on your computer, not the physical dimensions, such as 800X600 or 640X480. You can usually do this by right clicking on the file and selecting the properties of that file. If the file is under 100K bytes in size, you should be able to post it to TBN. If it is larger than 100K bytes in size, you will need to use some photo editing software to reduce it to under 100K bytes. You can reduce Kbyte sizes several ways. One is to make the picture smaller in dimension. Another is to reduce the quality. Surprizingly, you can reduce the quality of jpegs quite a bit and still have a decent dimension. You have to play around with a picture for a while in your photo editng software to see what gives you the best looking photo with the least amount of bytes for web posting. I like to take all my digital pictures at the highest possible resolution on our cameras and save them to my hard drive( I also burn CDs for backups). Then I have a special folder where I COPY the originals into for manipulation. This way, I can't mess up the original. Then I manipulate them to my heart's content and when I get a decent result, I save it to a folder to be published on the internet. Once you have a decent picture that is under 100K in size...

Third, make a post on TBN. Put in some text. Then, down below the smiley faces and colors you will see a check box titled "I want to preview my post and/or attach a file". Check that box, then underneath that, select the "Continue" button.

Fourth, that will take you to a new screen which will preview your post. Under you post you will see the following:
"You may attach a file if you like (no bigger than 100000 bytes please). " There is a blank text box with a browse button to the right of it. Select the browse button.

Fifth, browse your computer to find the file that you want to attach, select it and click the open button. That will paste the full path on your computer into the text box for you.

Sixth, below the text box is a button that says, "Post This Message!" Select that button and it will post your post and attachment like this (see attached). /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

No apologies needed. This is how we all learn things. There are very few members here on TBN, including myself, who have known all the answers to everything the first time we tried something. I'm pretty sure I did the same thing when I first started here, too. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Good post David,

You can also put your photo 'inline' with your text (instead of as an attachment) by editing your post, clicking on the 'attachment' to find the URL, and then
421426-54-229896-pt425_snow01.jpg
pasting it in with the "Image" command in the editor. This saves you from having to 'host' the photo on your own.

David:
I guess my problem is the picture size is too large 500 kb. I have microsoft picture it 2002 on my computer , can that be used to reduce picture? I'm not too computer literate and like they say you can't teach an old dog new tricks very easily.
