Oops I just saw this a year and half late sorry. Well I am sure the pto is running the right rpms since the generator is designed to run at 540. But I happen to have a 4 speed pto and I believe I run it in 2nd or 3rd gear at 1200 ish engine rpms to make the right voltage its been awhile since I ran it.
