I have one that's a Winpower I think its made by Win Co. If I recall they are in MN or perhaps the Dakotas.
Its a 10KW unit & can run my house. I can have the pump running & the boiler can start and I can have lights on all while the freezer is running. The bottom line is if I need to we can take a warm shower -- yippie.
I power it with a Ford 1710 with no problems.
The best part about owning it is that since I got it a few years ago we have not had a power outage that lasted long enough to use it.

interesting phenomenon, thatat same thing happened to me, after i got my generator we have not had but a few flickers, it seems that i have prevented power outages for the whole neighborhood. also.

It's less fun for mother nature to kill your power when all you have to do is pull a cord to put it back on...

Kinda like washing your car and then it rains.. vs not washing your car.
