It to me looks like a cross between a power rake, a stump grinder, roto tiller,
I just looked at the web side, and do they have different heads for the ag, version vs the forestry version?

Simple to build?? maybe, but IF you build it out of QUALITY parts, so it will be tough and last, it won't be cheap!

Any idea of the price for these units? Looking at the video, looks like excellent surface conditioning implement. What use would you have for such equipment?

They're pretty insanely expensive: the 11K for the used one is probably a normal price.. As I understand, they've very expensive to run, too; teeth wear out quickly and have to be replaced, bearings, etc... It makes sense, they take a pretty major beating just doing what they were designed to do.
