PTO Reverser Kit

When Hub City sold them, they went for $600 to $700. They were discontinued two years ago. The reversers weighed about 20 to 30lbs., measured roughly 5.5"x8" and had a c-c measurement of 3" between the input and output shafts. The internal ratio was 1-1. Gearing consisted of heat treated alloy steel spur gears.

In the last years, the units were built only on order. There were no parts kept in stock.

Darren, why in the world would anyone manufacture, (or buy), a tractor with a counter-rotating PTO. Is there a special purpose, or any implements available for them?

Who knows? Why do the British keep driving on the left hand side of the road? If I was to guess, maybe the B6000 is a gray market unit. There would have to be impliments made for it. They might be a bit scarce here. Some impliments, like mowers, maybe you could turn the blades over and run in reverse.

Buddy of mine had one, and he basically reversed every attachment that he used with the tractor. Finish mower he re-routed the belts and added spring loaded tensioners. He built a small box blade, a rear blade and was working on a bush hog when he came across an Allis Chalmers B model and decided to sell the Kubota. If I remember correctly, blade direction was the only issue with the bush hog, which just requires finding reverse cutting blades.
I also remember something about the pto shaft not being standard size... maybe 18 mm or something????
