On the Jinma, the two sets of gear reduction are a little close. If you want a positive disengagement it is OK to use the lever by your right heal. Me, I'm a little think in the middle and it is hard to reach that one from the seat! On the TS series, the gears are bigger and there is more room between (the Neutural zone) so it is ususally best just to use the speed/neut. selection lever.
Of course you should never attach a PTO shaft with the engine running on any tractor.
