That's what she told me. Would make a lot of sense since it's not a convertor, just a slip clutch. They have another that is smooth on both ends.

There is a very crude pic of my set up with 2 splined shafts shear protected in another thread about shear bolts. rickmacheske what grade bolt do you use in your set up? mine will only work with a grade5 2s pop as soon as you engage it.
Same problem I had in recently replacing the shear bolt in my 5' Howse cutter for the first time. The grade 2 bolts shear like butter at idle engagement and I hope grade 5 won't cause other problems. I also have a slip clutch at the dealers encouragement but no adjustment directions came with it, I hope it was right out of the wrapper.firemanpat2910 said:mine will only work with a grade5 2s pop as soon as you engage it.
Go back to the dealer (or manufacturer's website) for the owner's manual. Slip clutches typically require adjustment (possibly cleaning) twice a year. Let it go longer than that, and the friction discs fuse - leaving you with no driveline protection at all.rogdan said:I also have a slip clutch at the dealers encouragement but no adjustment directions came with it, I hope it was right out of the wrapper.
