:horseshoe: Good Luck.
No there was none in. I sent power straight to solenoid it engaged then stopedDid any fuse blow?
Here are photos of the pto valve that I replaced. Apparently the loose fit of the solenoid on the shaft allows dirt or other debris in and this is the result. Does anyone know how snug the retaining bolt should be behind the solenoid. It should be a nut, not a bolt - Finger tight plus 1/6th of a turn. Not very tight at all really.
Only evidence of a short in the solenoid was a small bump on the plastic cover. That's evidence of 'melting' on the inside.
The replacement valve shank is smooth and shinny.
FYI, when you order the new solenoid, it comes with a new valve. $140ish as I recall. Seems reasonably inexpensive for both as a combo.
