Stay Kubota my friend, they are only getting bigger and better every year, again I work for a kubota dealer manager for over 8 years & Kubota is a world class company, time tested and their engines are second to none, I promise most everyone will fall apart before their tractor does, and the tractor will fall apart before the engine does. 8 years never had to replace a kubota engine that wasn't purposely destroyed (mine site employees ignoring the fact that the radiator is clogged with shotcrete & mine muck & also the red light on the dash that warns of overheat, yea, just stick tape over it & ignored it also as they transported about 7 guys, tools, steel rods, & hundreds of pounds of mud up an 8% slope for around 2 - 2 1/2 miles. Yes, the engine hung tough and got them home but once she turned off, game over.

sales a little slow? You got time to hang out here instead of making deals? Maybe flog the Kubotas over on the Kubota forum. Or else try to help people out without being so obviously biased. BTW, Kubota is not yet even considered a real tractor in NA ag circles, so be a little humble why don't you. The new, bigger Kubota's are still not big enough to be considered real field tractors in "big farm" country in NA. So "Kubota arrogance" is somewhat laughable......
PS, my little Kioti (90 hp model) is exactly what I expected (though I'm only at 700hrs so far). I'll get back to you when I have a couple of thousand.
Actually sir I came to join discussions to offer help where I can regardless of make, and I did. Just fead further up. I'm not here hating on you now am I? No. So why make it that way? You might have a question someday I can help you with, YA never know. Are sales slow? sounds like you feel threatened or jealous to me. I'm here for the love & belief in what I do even in my time off, it's callled "vacation" I have some time. I would like to contribute. & yes of course I am biased while remaining respectful to the other makes. You quoted me further down on a different subject within this one trying to start controversy. Have at it.

I must have had my eyes severely crossed that's not what it said at all. that's my mistake & I apologize. I said stay kubota & that does sound arrogant & didn't mean it in that way. I'never said anything bad about Kioti, in fact they are solid machines and every brand has weaknesses to be exploited, it's called "competitive edge" and that's why there are so many tractor brands of there.

Kubota started small & made a name by building small reliable engines t& then a tractor to put them in & here they are now @ 136hp, but watch out 2015 Mark my words, 3 new units @ about 150, 160, 170 hp on the way! So "Kubota arrogance" over this: they never have claimed to be large Ag, again this sounds like someone feels threatened. Ghey market the Large M series as livestock farming, all purpose Ag, I.e. Support equip. to the larger 250-300 & up machines/specialty units. You don't just plop down in good ol' US of A and start pushing out 250+Hp machines when no one here has heard of you. K?
Meanwhile Kioti is topped out @ 90hp, but their Daedong engines so far seem reliable and they to will start being accepted into the "NA ag circles" in time. Your exactly right about the circles to, in the Ag world, equpment has to earn its way in. It doesn't just PLOP! HERE I AM! Big Ag are reluctant to change and Leary of "the new guy" so it's a badge when big Ag starts to accept new tricks. I know. Big Ag snt where all the market is anyway, don't be so one dimentional gosh man...

It's not me who feels threatened. I don't even care. You just ticked a box in me this morning; sorry. Kubota is threatened, as there are many makes for them to compete with in the small equipment market now. For example, why are they offering free extended warranty lately.... to compete with the "lesser brands" that's why (obvious).
My guess is that they are losing sales in the small market, so they need to expand their market. Good for them. They will eventually gain much more credibility with the real farming crowd, to be sure.
Many will appreciate your help, I'm sure. However, when all of your help is offered in order to extol Kubota's virtues many of us see that as having an agenda. Many of us that have been around a while can see right through you.... Please offer help, but keep the brand bashing out of it (even if yours' is somewhat disguised).
I quoted you when you could not resist raising the Kubota flag when replying to a completely unrelated subject. I'm sure your Kubota experience is valuable and I may need it some day.... if I ever buy a Kubota, since I seem to like orange tractors. As of now I see no advantage to owning one for me. I shopped. No one was even close to the value I got with my Kioti. Not even remotely around here. I got way, way more tractor for my money, that's all. So far so good......

I want to just add one more thing just because. Kubota to my knowledge is not offering a "free extended warranty" lol, ok This is actually funny & clever, however, its still a win-win-win. If you were to go to Kubota's webpage you would see they are offering instant rebates on many models, in a way your right, Kubota's small market share has been nipped slightly, but not much, the rebates are aimed to reduce the gap in the more economically priced brands to gain the market share back and they have, Im not sure if all but it is a nip back. Ok so, what it sounds like to me, and I say this with caution because its actually a clever everybody wins, Kubota probably wins, if they don't have to do any warranty coverage. I'm going politician here: They may or may not be using the rebates to give a "free extended warranty" to a customer because just maybe, but maybe not, selling an extended warranty of a certain make could or could not also put a little extra "bread" on, or off the table for the salesman & dealership. Maybe, but maybe not. Clever guys... but the customer is fairly gaining from the "free" warranty as well and peace of mind. nothing in life is... or isn't, free. lol this maybe is kinda fun. but maybe not.

For anyone who isn't tracking this tread, OnO thought the problem was on a Kubota tractor. His discussion here applies to Kubota, not a Kioti CK20S. OnO's diagnostics won't work on the CK20S. For example, the 20S does not have a PTO clutch pack. On the Kioti 20S, the driven side of the clutch is connected directly to the main transmission and the PTO input drive shaft, which is mechanically coupled to the PTO transmission. The data I've seen shows a mechanical ratcheting "clutch" in the input shaft to the PTO transmission which should allow the PTO implement (e.g. bush hog) to spin freely without driving the tractor through the main transmission.
The only issue here is whether Kioti eliminated this ratcheting clutch from the CK20S design or if the OP has a "broken" tractor. According to the OP, Kioti USA (Wendell NC) claims this "clutch" was eliminated at some point. Owners of even later tractors report their tractor has the clutch. The clutch is a safety item so many (including me) doubt it was really eliminated from the design.
I don't have a CK20S but I do have a Kioti. So it concerns me if Kioti USA is sending out BS to avoid fixing broken tractors.

The Kioti CK20S does not work anywhere near the way you describe it. The drive line works just like the old 8N Ford tractor. It is all mechanical. If Kioti put a solid shaft and removed the built in PTO override clutch, no amount of filters or oil will fix this. If Kioti did not remove it and it is just jammed up, then he is still up a creek without a paddle, because Kioti says it is not there (even though my CK20S with manual transmission made around the same time works perfect).
