Or a loader...Likely will need some weights on the front end of that tractor.

I assembled it with a small amount of grease, but after reading your post I greased everything!Great job! You sure seem to know what you're doing (even if you are learning as you go). I would like to ask if you actually applied grease to the zerk on the steering rams? The fitting and the joint seem too clean. I wouldn't want you to have gone through that rebuild just to overlook something simple and ruin that mating surface.
Thank youBeen following this from the beginning MD........ you are one of a bunch of guys on here that remind me how lazy I am :whistleblower:
Lookin' great !

Yes, the filter is right, but I'm going away with that setup. I'm gonna flare up some hard line, and put in a real filter.Your recent pics reminded me to ask if the fuel filter is pointing the right way? I'm sure it ptobably is- but most have an arrow to show direction of flow.
And those new 3 treads look sharp on your restoration, Oliver! Maybe do a bling grille of shiny expanded metal. You know, the shark teeth and eyeball from some of the early fighter planes!

You really think this little Oliver can pull that disc? It sure would be easier for me tow it over there, and I wouldn't have to bother taking off the loader and box blade on the kubota...Now you can use that Oliver on your neighbors disc.
Nice job she's looking good.
No, it was just from something else that was thrown on thereYour initial pics of the tractor showed a grill that didn't look to be in too bad of condition. Was it worse than it looked?

Although it wouldn't be correct for my year, I prefer the look of the metal horizontal slotted grill. I'd sure like to find a used one, it doesn't have to be perfect.I don't have any sources, but I am curious.
Which style of grill are you looking for, there's the one with the big square 3x4 "egg crate" pattern, or the one with about 9 horizontal round-ended slots, with two vertical slots on either side? Looks like the "egg crate" version may be a little easier to find...or make? Would you need the whole nose, or just clean up the dents in your existing nose?
I would actually like to fab up some sort of bracket to accept the more common and cheaper suitcase weights....any ideas??Likely will need some weights on the front end of that tractor.
I have the old loader for this sitting out in the field where I found this tractor, but it's too much work to bring back to life. I'd need new lift cylinders and a new tilt cylinder, plus all new lines. That would get expensive quick I would think. :/Or a loader...

Have you measured the cylinders? Surplus Center has some for $100-150ish: Double Acting Hydraulic Cylinders | Hydraulic Cylinders | Hydraulics | www.surpluscenter.comI have the old loader for this sitting out in the field where I found this tractor, but it's too much work to bring back to life. Have not measured yet. Maybe I'll get to it. Until now, I'm making this little Oliver go to work. I ripped this little field in front of my house with this contraption I made with parts lying around, I know it's not proper but it sure tore that field up! Then I went over it with an old wore out offset disc.Have you measured the cylinders?
