Unfortunately, this weekend's tractor excitement was short-lived.
Got up there early Friday and unloaded the tractor
Jumped into the brush and saplings behind my shop a little before noon
Was trying to go slowly and be careful, but I had a meeting at 2pm that I knew was quickly approaching. So I got a little ahead of myself.
And then this happened.
Yep. A thumb-thick piece of wood, right through a lug of a "rear" tire.
Quickly loaded the tractor back on the trailer. Thus ended my tractorizing for the weekend.

It was really my own fault, but . . . really drove the point home (pardon the pun) that I need to get the tires filled with foam for this job. I knew that, but . . . . my excitement got the best of me.
Anyway, I had planned to make another pass along this new loop to mulch everything up better, but . . .
Here are the sloppy results:
This knoll used to be so dense with briars and locust saplings that it was very unpleasant to walk out to the end. My goal was to get it cleared off to the start of the slope. Ah, well. Maybe next time.
