Thanks all! I really appreciate the input. I looked for a Yanmar dealer and there is one about an hour from me which is no big deal. The problem is I really don't see a comparable model to the 2502 in my price range.
I do have 3 Kubota dealers in about a 40-mile radius. I do wish that they were open on a Saturday morning. I am going to build out what I want online and see if I can get some information and schedule an appointment late in the day M-F.

Tractorable, I was not aware of those remotes. I remember having to constantly get off for adjustment especially since I rolled my ankle 300 yards from the house doing that and had to crawl back up to get home. 4 weeks in a walking boot! that was at age 36. I can't do that at 55!!!!(y)

A quick look on tractor house makes it seem like the Kubota is likely more expensive. if similar outfitting is done to a yt235 which is a deluxe, nicer, more powerful tractor the prices i see are the same or better than the Kubota
Kioti is also a great place to look.
Remember to compare apples to apples- transmission, power, outlets, extendable links etc.

U can absolutely negotiate the price. I would get a few dealers involved and go from there. Some will say you need to stick to the dealer thats closest to you. Well if you can save a few thousand going to one a little further. Then so be it. You should get a discount on any implements you purchase at the time of buying the tractor. Im really surprised how many do not know you can negotiate prices.

One of the Kubota dealers I tried to deal with in 2022 claimed not to even know about the equine discount. Another hadn't heard of it, then found it after I brought it up, and then said he wouldn't honor it anyway because he said they couldn't keep L2501s in stock. Finally found a dealer who knew about the discount and would apply it to my purchase. I wanted to deal with that salesman again about a year later on another purchase. He was gone from the dealership and it was like dealing with the other dealers. That's why I suggest seeing if there's a Yanmar dealer near you and see if they are any better to deal with.
my dealer in their computer system where they make quotes has a list of check boxes the salesman can check off on his side of the desk and this gives them the info. they use to negotiate with the buyer. So he can check off frequent buyer at the dealership, user of service department, recommends others, from out of service area (I guess this means tire kicker or maybe a guy who shops around), easy to deal with or pain in arse, eetccc...

They showed me this one time when I was buying something and one of the boxes they could check was equine discount. If I remember right he went down a list of discounts and hit almost all for me except i remember not the financing one, the insurance one, and the extended warrenty one if my mind remembers right.
now not sure if this software was from Corporate or something they designed in house though.

Have you tried negotiating prices on new tractors recently? They sell for very close to the Kubota price. It’s hard to get them to do more than maybe $500-1000 in price negotiation, and different dealers ask similar prices.

I am interested to hear how this goes for the OP at his dealerships.

When I purchased my 2502 17 months ago, I contacted 5 different Kubota dealers all within a 60 mile radius of me. I explained to each that I was shopping for the best deal and that I had/will contact the other area Kubota dealers. I had the equine discount which some knew about and others didn't but they all added it to the deal. 4 of the dealers all came in at the same price and the 5th came in $1000 cheaper and included free arm rests and a bolt on cutting edge. They were the largest of all the dealers and had many different shops scattered around two different states.

I think my L2501 HST with loader was just a bit over $22,000 in 2022. Do you mind me asking what you paid for your 2502?

I paid $27,300 for the tractor, loader/bucket, R14 tires, landpride box blade, forks, and filled tires. They threw in the seat arm rests and HD bolt on cutting edge.
