For the record I do use 5 tablespoons of coffee to make a 16oz cup of coffee every morning.. If I want weak coffee I drink tea...
NOTHING worse, than weak coffee. I'd rather drink bath water.
I would put bad coffee one step ahead of weak coffee, assuming said weak coffee is of high quality. But than again, I'm a coffee snob, so... :cool2:
I have asked this question several times recently,, and, I keep hearing 6 tablespoons to 16 OZ water,,,
Well, I use 2 1/4 tablespoons of medium roast PEETS coffee,, in 16 OZ of water,, in a french press.
I stir several times with a spoon during the minute and a half I wait for the coffee to "brew"
The resultant coffee is strong enough to make your ears wiggle,,,
it is 2X as strong as any gas station coffee I have EVER had,,
The liquid is totally opaque as it pours out into the cup,, not totally black, but, you can not see any light through the liquid,,
I consider it VERY strong.
Could the french press make the coffee that much stronger?
