quality tractors ?

This is a new Chinese tractor front steering arm casting . Is this the kind of quality you want in a tractor ? There has been talk about the quality of chinese tractors & if they will last 20 yrs +. Not if they keep casting parts like this. Are the rest of the cast parts on chinese tractors this bad ?Now I understand why they weep fluids from their castings . I haven't seen an 20 old yanmar with a casting like this! I'am glad I picked my 20 yr old yanmar over a new chinese.

There is a good reason that a 20 year old Yanmar costs as much a new Chinese tractor.

That is a very interesting attachment. It is difficult to put the break into perspective without seeing attaching parts or the whole tractor.

Do you have any other pictures so one can relate that damage to the model? Any spec's like 4WD or HP? Or the circumstances under which the damage happened?

I don't doubt the authenticity of your picture, but wonder about the frequency of this type of structural failure. And how could an unsuspecting consumer identify weak points, unless they were an expert in metallurgy? There are, after all, thousands of satisfied owners that support these tractors as the best bang for their buck...but in the interest of safety this incident (and perhaps others) would alarm many enough to alter their choice of manufacturer.

mark this came from a new kama 454 tractor owner on the chinese tractor forum. I think it came from the post stranded.I was not only refering to just the break ,but the poor casting.
