Question about 3 point draft and position controls

/ Question about 3 point draft and position controls #11
On tractors with a true "draft" control (old allis traction booster, etc) the draft control controlled the draft (pull) of the plow by way of a spring or torsion system that mechanically acted on the hyd system raising or lowering of the 3 or two point lift keeping the power/traction as near constant as possible. The way I understand the Kioti system the draft is sensed by compression to the top link that acts on the hyd system to raise or lower the implement with varying loads and rotation forces around the lower pins. So if using the draft control and the bottom of the plow hits tight soil the the top link will have more compression and the 3 point with lift some to lessen the draft. Also if the back of a long implement is pushed up a compression force could lift the 3 point some. This all depends on how sensitive the system is set, what hole the top link is in and what setting the draft control lever is in. As far as more range on the position lever raise the arms to the shortest length and highest hole can make 5 or 6 inches difference on the height of lift. Beware that if using the PTO on mounted equipment lifting to high can bind the PTO shaft.
