Question about LS Tractor Pedals

I don't mind admitting ignorance.

My experience with tractors is from 25 years ago on Grandpas old ford tractor that was older than me. It had a clutch on the left and a brake pedal on the right. Shift lever in the middle between your knees and throttle on the steering wheel column. A PRO lever and a hitch control. Straight manual transmission.

The new LS 3040 shuttle is being delivered this afternoon.

When I looked at it yesterday there was a pedal on the left, which I assume is the clutch. The rest of the controls, PTO controls and so on were fairly obvious.

But there were two large pedals on the right hand side and a small one on the deck to the right of them.

I don't have the Owner's manual yet so I'm wondering what all those right hand side pedals are.

One for the brake on the right side,one for the brake on the left side.There is a steel plate that locks the two together.Under normal situations they should be locked.When plowing or some mowing exc. using one brake or the other gives you a shorter and faster turn.

The two large pedals are the left and Right brakes. There is a hinged link to make them act as one. The small pedal on the righ is a foot throttle that will overide the throttle lever for a monentary increase in RPM>

Thanks. Clears that up. Couldn't figure out why the two were linked. And the throttle override is a nice feature.
