Could some one give me measurements from the bottom of their backhoe frame to the ground both at the front and the rear. (The low point at the rear not where the frame steps up)
I picked up an NH backhoe with it's own frame I'm just debating if it's worth modifying the frame for my tractor or if I should start from scratch.
Curious to get those measurements to compare to how low this frame sits when I offer it up to my tractor.
Oh one more measurement: from the underside of the backhoe where the main beam pivots down to the ground.

Thanks all.
E.

Just to add to my first post above I've attached a picture of where I'm looking for measurements. Plus an additional one - could some one also give me a measurement between the 2 cross rails on the subframe assembly measuring from the front side on each.
I'm thinking if I can get the stock hardware that bolts on and stays on the tractor them I'll modify the NH subframe to hook into those points.

Thanks,

When mounted the subframe is approximately 7" from the ground ( w/industrial tires)
- crossmember outside to outside 46 3/8"
-front outside to inside rear crossmember ( closest to backhoe) 44 7/16"
-rear ( closest to BH)outside to front inside 43 3/8"
- factory subframe crossmembers are 3/4" plate , side stringers are 4" tube
Hope this helps, KG

My backhoe is off and put away so I couldn't get an accurate measurement to the bottom pivot, but if you look at this pic you can see that it is close to even with the stepped up section of the frame....KG

Thanks Kioti Guy, appreciate the response anyway. I'm looking for measurements mostly so I can try to get this NH backhoe kinda in the same place, plus I'm looking at where the frame I've got would sit when I put it up as high as I can and wow. That's not very high! lol. But ya looking at any picture I can find I don't think I'm getting any higher or lower for that matter then the stock subframe.

Looking at the parts diagram and other photo's of member's tractors with backhoes it looks pretty simple to make my own mounts (Following the same mounting method as the Kioti uses.) for both the front and rear - If I am seeing things right basically the factory rear bracket replaces the stock tow bar bracket with one that both bolts up where there top link is and has the receiver for the backhoe subframe. So my plan is to modify my stock tow bar bracket to look very similar to what the factory one is.

The only other question I have is why did Kioti go with a rectangular bar that slides into that receiver and into the 2 hooks at the front instead of round bar stock? Given I imagine you get the rear started into the bracket and then rotate the frame up to meet the front and then slide the whole frame in I would have thought a round bar would make that whole process work easier with less potential binding?
Curious if you or anyone find there is any binding because of that rectangular bar? For that matter what is the difference in size between the rectangular and the space in the bracket it slides into? My thought is it can't be a very close tolerance? Again I'm that's why I'm thinking round stock would be better as it would allow for a closer tolerance and less up/down movement while using the backhoe? - All conjecture given I've never operated a Ck20 with a hoe on it yet. I don't know if there would be any strength advantage between that rectangular bar vs say a 1.25 or 1.5" solid bar?

E.

Well somehow I missed your first post Kioti Guy! Yes, just what I was looking for with regards to measurements. Thanks! And hey, you're kinda local to me. lol. Ok I'm a little over an hour from Severn.

I checked the front mounting hooks and the opening is approximately 1", so there is only about a 1/4" of play between it and the crossbar.
My guess is that the plate would be stronger and more resistant to bending/twisting forces than tube is.
It is amazing how much torque is transmitted to the tractor by the backhoe when you get it working.
You are right the rear mount just replaces the existing towbar mount with a larger more robust bracket with an added piece of plate for The rear crossbar to slide into along with holes for the retaining pins....
Good luck with your project, if you would like a picture of the brackets or what have you I could probably take them this weekend, Craig

Thanks Kioti Guy, again really appreciated - if you could take a picture straight on the rear, and if I could ask you to put a measuring tape in the picture measuring vertically against the rear mount where the drawbar is that would be awesome. :) One last measurement if you could put the tape vertically against the front mount on the side of it so I can see how far down the "slot" is relative to the loader frame where the front mount bolts onto.

Thanks,
E.

The rear bracket bolts in place of the existing bracket and also surrounds the PTO guard and bolts to the lowest two bolts holding the mount for the top link of the PTO

Photo showing tape and rear bracket . Bottom slot opening is approximately 1 3/4" deep but the leading edge is flared another 3/4" or so to simplify mounting the hoe

Thanks Kioti Guy! Very helpful! I've picked up all the steel I need, hopefully start making the attachment points that mount onto the tractor tomorrow.
