People ask me all the time what I think "A good deal is?" I always tell them if YOU feel like you got a good deal, then you did. If you have a knot in your abdomen then you most likely got screwed or spent way too much money for your budget! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif )</font>

I'm seeing the /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif at the end so I hope people don't always think this. Heck my stomach is in knots when I purchase just about anything. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Something else to possibly consider here. If they discount the new model by a great deal,it will affect the pricing on any used inventory they might carry. The buyers benefit to this is the tractor doesn't depreciate as fast as an auto. I know that auto dealerships make the REAL money on used vehicles. Food for thought?!

For a few years, my brother hired an elderly lady to stay with his invalid mother-in-law during the day while he and his wife were working. One day the lady wanted to show him the used late model Oldsmobile she had just bought and ask his opinion of the car because she knew he had been a mechanic. After they discussed the car awhile, she said, "Well, aren't you going to ask what I paid for it; everyone else has?" He said, "Nope, I figure the price was just about right. If it'd been too low, he wouldn't have sold it to you, and if it'd been too high, you wouldn't have bought it." He never did hear what she paid for it. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

My husband and I just recently went to one dealer for a quote on a B3030. After receiving the quote, we questioned the salesman about the $500 rebate that Kubota was offering on the model we wanted (I have a post about this on the B3030 rebate thread). The salesman said there wasn't a rebate. My husband asked if there was any room for negotiation, and they salesman said maybe. The next day, I called another dealer who said that they would give us the rebate, and came in $250 under the first guy. I had emailed Kubota about the rebate and actually got a message on my answering machine from a woman representative stating that the first dealer should have offered us the rebate. My husband went back to the first dealership, but the original salesman wasn't there, but the man who helped him said that he didn't know why the salesman didn't offer him the rebate. He said he would have the salesman call us, but here it is two days later and no call. At this point, we don't want to give the sale to the original salesman because I'm sure he's not just going to knock $500 off the price, and we're just irritated that he thought we were just going to accept that there was no rebate. So, the nice guy at the second dealer is probably going to get our business.
