Question regarding L4150 Hydro light on dash

Right Tom, the Ever Clutch in our L5450s is really two wet clutch packs, one for forward, one for reverse. The clutch pedal operates a fancy valve. The PTO clutch is a regular dry disk with linkage & handle. Dick B

Dick, I didn't think the L4150 was the same? The L5450 has the Ever Clutch, I know the L4150 does not.
I'm just wondering out loud, I thought the L4150 has a dry clutch with hydro shuttle?

I had forgotten that Kubota used different transmissions in those models. Yours does look to have a dry clutch. Not an issue as long as you know that.

Thanks for the reply. I was aware of this. getting use to using the shuttle in stead of clutch was a little different, but now that's all i use.
Great tractor...Love it.

The L4150 has a dry-type dual clutch, one disk for travel and one for pto. The shuttle is either a manual gear-type reverser, or optional hydraulic reverser with wet clutch packs. The machines with hydraulic shuttle actually have 2 clutch systems in series between the engine and the wheels.

The updated L3 model lineup became the L4350, L4850 and L5450. A new EverClutch option was introduced, which is actually a beefier version of the hydraulic shuttle (2 bigger wet packs and more valving). On EC machines the dry travel clutch is eliminated, but a hand-operated dry disk remains for the pto.

I believe the EC wet packs were scaled up when the dry travel clutch was phased out, because the wet pack now had to do all the clutching. With the former hydraulic shuttle it was assumed operators would use the shuttle some of the time and the regular foot clutch some of the time.
