Beauty is in the eye of beholder:D

I like my Blue tractor just fine even if I end up buying an orange companion for it. I am a bit color blind as well. Kubota makes some excellent machines and also they come short in few areas. I think we all appreciate well made machines, some like utilitarian purely work horse and some enjoy all the bells and whistles.. It's all good in my opinion.:)

You get what you pay for.. no wonder why some poor quality Chinese made tractors can be bought thru mail order from Northern and again there is a market for it as well.

at the end it's the matter of choice and mighty $.

All kidding aside, they do make a good tractor. I wouldnt mind having one. My color collection wouldnt mind at all.

Since my 3040 Boomer was my first tractor, I felt that having a good dealer close was more important than the color. The green guys wouldn't even return my phone calls, and the nearest orange dealer was around 90 miles away. My blue dealer is about 20 miles away, and has been great to work with.

I love my tractor!

Whew ! I just wanted to be sure there were others that felt good about their Blue tractors like I dd, otherwise I was thinking about painting mine orange so I could fit in with the crowd better...LOL

I am always impressed by how much the Kioti owners seem to like their tractors. Before hanging out here, I probably wouldn't have considered buying one, now it's definitely a brand I would look at.

I think I would not buy any color tractor without a gear transmission. That's another observation from hanging out here, all colors of HST seem to account for lots of problems. Don't want to dig up a dead horse to beat on, but thats the way it seems. The stats may be skewed because there are fewer and fewer gear tractors purchased.

I have been here but a short time and I can't help but notice on TBN it seems like a Kubota love fest....what is the deal ?

I mean, I have owned my New Holland TC - 20 for almost 9 yrs. bought it new in 2000 and do my own service and knock wood it has performed flawlessly and it is a real tractor not a lawn mower and yet on TBN it is rarely mentioned.

Can someone clue me in ?

A good tractor is easy to like no matter what the color. Kubota builds a good tractor and they have sold a lot of them. There are many great red, blue and green ones also. Even the very worse tractor is way better than no tractor at all!:D:D

I should know, I was 59 years tractorless!!!! :eek::eek::eek:

I got my blue '79 1700 12 years ago. It is my first diesel powered 4wd tractor. The few times I needed parts the dealer has worked well with me over the phone and in person. The one problem I had was with the front drive gears
and that was expensive. Overall I could not ask for a better tractor.

We have a local Ford/New Holland dealer just 4 miles away in town.
The next closest anything dealers are 25 and more miles away.

Thirty years ago when I bought my first acerage, I started out with a Case VAC bought at a local farm sale. It was short lived - blew a cylinder pullin a water tank up a hill.
I then bought a really hard used 8N, which had no brakes, then a 671 Ford with Select-O-Speed - eek!!! I owned that one for a whopping three weeks. Ended up in the woods at the bottom of the hill twice! I traded it in on my 1700.
Now, nearly 30 years later I still value it as a tool I could not be without. It has done everything I ever asked of it and then some with little more than normal wear and tear.

I have a friend who loves his three(!) Kubotas. Nice machines - I've even borrowed one or another a time or two, but I get the feeling they are too rich for my blood - but then - I prolly couldn't afford a new Boomer any more easily.

Of all my machines, I like the ones that start and do their job the best!

I think that sums it up best right there. And that is from a guy who hauled his 9-year old B2400 with 1700 hours into the dealer this week after it dumped all the hydraulic fluid all over the driveway. That was the first thing ever to go wrong with it. I haven't heard back from the dealer yet but my wallet has started going into convulsions so I guess that means it's going to be expensive.

Just a matter of preference, much like trucks and cars.

Maybe the Orange people post in forums more than green/yellow, blue or red.

Who knows??

One thing I found out over the years is...if whatever YOU own; it's the best. So...if you own a Ford truck, it's the best. If you own a Honda automobile, it's the best. Even if you own a Yugo...it's the best. If you drink Iron City Lite....it's the best.

What IS the best is left up to the reporters and the like in magazines and websites.
I do highly agree
