When greasing the power steering cylinder, should I expect it to squirt out when its full?

Some times they will squirt out and other times it is real hard to get grease into it.
When greasing you machine it is not about getting the grease to squirt out you should put 2 or 3 pumps in more often than pumping 5-6 times until the grease squirts out.

That picture is not of the steering rams. Mine always squirt since they don't seem to be a rubber sealed joint but rather a bushing type joint. Since they get a good workout and they are down low I get them real well with grease.

I would have love kioti orange but the dealer was all out /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif so I had to go with black /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif as for the grease fitting it is real hard to pump in, I didn't know if that was normal, thanks... cag

The zerc in that photo is the center pivot. It and it's brother are the hardest zercs to give grease on the whole tractor. I have found them to take grease mcuh easier if you lift the front end off the ground with the loader. Seems the load from the tractor weight compresses the bushing clearance and keeps grease from entering. As I recall, that pivot does use a rubber seal and probably shouldn't be overgreased.

Your photo shows just the tie rod and no part of the power steering system. Right?

Highbeam I could have done a better job with the pic /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gifI had to look in my manual for the description of the area as I had no idea what their purpose were, I had a bit of concern when I found it hard to grease, but now I know that it is normal and will follow the advice you guy's gave me thank's...cag
