Questions about a .410

Hate to see you chop down the 410 because they are a little rarer than the other guages, if you cannot find another barrel for it, you might consider looking for an old remington 870 or mossberg 500 or ithaca 37 or something like that in 20 guage and chop it down. It will have a little more recoil than your 410, but not near as much as a 12 and will be lots easier to find one of these. A 28 guage would be good too. but they are kinda scarce also in the low end pump arena. More in the nice double end of the spectrum for trap and skeet. Good luck on your search.

Sounds like you're working toward this except in .410. With laser and powerful light, very effective home defense weapon, also short, light, and with the laser no need to worry about recoil since it's not fired from the shoulder.

I finally got around to calling Mossberg and they do offer a replacement barrel for it in 18 1/2" for $75.00.

I think after I get a few Christmas bills paid, I'll be getting that on its way. At least that way, I'll preserve it's existing condition and not have to hack it up.

Thanks again for the advice.

And just for the sake of conclusion, I did get an email reply from Tapco that confirmed that one of their T-6 style stocks will fit the .410.

So it looks like I'll be able to get it set up how I want it without too much trouble or making drastic modifications.

Once again, thanks for the help.
