Quick Attach Conversion Kit.... Need a little help

We just finished making a new Quick Tach Conversion kit to convert pin on style loaders to the skid steer/tractor style universal quick tach hookup. The cost for the kit will be $259(free shipping) and it includes a mounting plate and both quick tach brackets.

Bill, is there a component missing in your photos, like a plate that connects the ends of the cylinders, ends of the boom, and to which you welds your toggle assembly?

Hi JMC,

Theoretically any tabs or plates that are on your bucket could be welded to the quick tach plates but there are quite a few styles of loaders and we may end up including an extra spacer plate part or 3x3 square tubing if the majority of people need those parts.

The issue I ran into and noticed alot was a compact tractors loader arms are just as wide, or wider than the SSQA plates, you would have to jog the pin mounts to get it to work properly. Obviously they do it and you can see it when you look at a fabbed one.


I think the back should be boxed in so you can move your tabs around where you'd like, maybe even extend that boxed portion outwards to accomodate the added width most tractors seem to have (loader pin center to center), after the pin mounts are mounted the rest could be just cut off as its not needed. Just an idea.

Ps- if you boxed the back of your QA plates you could also run a brace somehow from one side to the other as well all at the same time as the plates have to be tied together somehow to hookup to your SSQA plate/bucket. Obviously price will go up a little with that but 259$ is still way cheaper than i've seen other systems cost.

Great advice Puckgrinder. The more I dig into the details the more I agree with you. Our goal is to provide a high quality/low cost option for a quick tach conversion. We are close to having this one ready for the market.

I would like to buy only the latches in picture two. I agree they should have back plates. I woould use them to make an adapter for my loader to S.S. attachments. I would not convert my bucket or other attachments. It would just be to be able to add S.S. attachments in the future.

I would also be interested in just the latches as I would like to build an SSQA for my mini excavator.
I don't think a back plate is needed as that would increase the cost and is something that someone with the ability to cut and weld steel should be able to do if he needs to, but really it is up to you as to how much fabrication you would like to leave up to the customer. The price point you have targeted is certainly attractive now, but every add on makes it more expensive and some may not want them in the first place - me.
