My new 300 loader came with a HD bucket and tooth bar. The bar attaches with bolts and locking nuts. Has anyone set theirs up with quick attach hardware? I am trying to set up something like the drilled tapered pin that holds the bucket in place on the lower corners. My goal is to be able to install/remove the tooth bar without tools. The JD i-match rear hitch and the ability to remove the bucket and pallet forks without tools has spoiled me in only 5 hours of use.

I solved the QA toothbar by having a second bucket. One bucket is kept stock. Second bucket has grapple and Toothbar mounted on it. FEL has a QA. It only takes about 2 minutes to switch buckets. Do not know price of a second bucket. I refurbished a bucket that was badly worn.

Gordon,
I would think that a quick attach system would have to take into account any slop and be able to tighten up the bar, but that would be nice. Let me know if you find something that works.

Do you have a bolt on cutting edge with that tooth bar? I have been trying to find a tooth bar that will go over the bolt on edge of the 61" HD bucket on my 300cx. So far the only ones I can find are $500 plus. For that kind of money I would rather build my own but I can't find the appropriate shanks.

You might check you local JD Construction Dealer and ask to see shanks for a 310G (model 23 shank)-

I don't have a bolt on cutting edge. There is a 1/2" thick cutting edge factory welded in place. The FEL is a basic 300, not a 300x or 300CX. The tooth bar slips over the front edge.

I see your point, but the hitch-pins would be a bit vulnerable up near the business end of the bucket edge, I think. Maybe fashion a spring-loaded pin that will be protected but at the same time project out into the receiving bolt hole. Just a thought.
We do get spoiled with the quickness of changing from tool to tool, don't we. I like the 2nd bucket idea with the tooth bar.

Thanks Gordon I hope you find what you are looking for.

Plowrup, can you give me any more info on that shank. I have been to Pape' Machinery which is the local JD construction dealer and they didn't have a shank that would work.

Can anyone tell me if the 200 CX has a bolt-on edge? I kind hope not, so I can get a Markham Welding Tooth bar for cheap! - <$300

Nope, neither bucket offered with the 200cx has a bolt-on edge. If you have a 61" bucket, JD has a removable toothbar that fits well, and costs +/-$300. You can see it on the JD website if you look for accessories for the 61" 300cx and 400cx bucket, on the 3000-4000series.
