Kubota 4330 HSTC, Ford 1900
Hi Folks! I short time ago purchased a Kubota 4330 HSTC in apparently nice shape with low hours, nothing bent/damaged and have only logged about 30 hours so far. Recently I was rather horrified to notice that the taperd, lower pins on the QA almost completely cam-out of the coresponding locking slot on the original dealer installed Woods HD bucket. This not only happens when back dragging, but also when the bucket is mearly lowered to the ground at virtually any angle and pressure is applied (loader in float position for example). I'm very concerned that the bucket will fall off during operation causing damage to componets unless I can rectify this problem ASAP:confused: I tried shimming the tension springs with a few washers to no avail, does anyboy have a fix for this issue or does Kubota have any kind of modification kit for this problem??? PART#? Thanks in advance for any input!

Problem is the woods bucket not the kubota quick hitch

Why are you so sure? There have been quite a few threads here on TBN about problems with the Kubota SSQA.

Just got back from visiting my 2nd. local Kubota dealer today researching my "pin problem". The Service Manager at dealer #1 told that basically the problem was mine because in His words Grand L tractors equipped with the quick attach were not suitable for back dragging and grading and that I needed a pin-on bucket and grader blade set-up instead??? Gee, I thought I had purchased a usable machine intended for normal tractor work like the previous four I've owned..... He offered little in the way of any fix, but one of the parts guys produced a printout for me showing some sort of a modification kit. The parts consisting of a collar that is placed inside of the latch tension spring providing a positive stop up against the swivel block located on the locking handle, also there are 3 spacers (just thick washers) to be placed on top of the springs to increase tension. When I showed the part printout the Service Manager He basically ignored it, refusing to acknowledge its existence? The spacers were in stock, but I had to order the collars, hopeful this may help! Dealer #2 was a longer drive, but service folks there were much friendlier and displayed genuine interest in my problem, unfortunately, the best suggestion offered was to stack washers on top of the springs until firm locking resistance is obtained. So, while waiting for the "official Kubota" stop collars to arrive I've started experimenting with modified 1.25" bushings removed from automotive shocks absorbers combined with standard washers. I have not yet had an opportunity to test for effect, but I will update with results... Thanks!

By the way, dealer #1 is very large with several locations and is NOT well thought of by me, as well as many, many others in my area. This virtual monopoly nearly stopped me from purchasing orange all due to the unfavorable logistics involved with better dealer #2..........
