Hi guys... question for you. Given all the show we got here in CT this winter, I am tired of pushing the snow with the bucket on my CK27. I found a pin-on Curtis plow from a Kubota owner... I would have to cut and reweld the pin brackets on the plow to make it fit my loader, but before I do that wanted to see if should get a quick attach plate and use that mounting method instead? Has anyone used the pin on type plow set up? Is it a "pain" to put it on and off? I do use the loader frequently to move fire wood... if the pins are a pain to work with, quick attach should be better... thoughts?

I change between a snow plow and bucket in a matter of minutes with a SSQA,pins would be a real pain. With pins you would have to be absolutely level with the tractor and implement.

Hard to beat the quick attach plate.

another vote for quick attach, just make sure to mount it back as far as possible.

Ditto what nybirdman said. I made a QA plow out of a 7' Fisher plow. Cut my plowing time in half at least. I switch to bucket when banks have to be pushed back. I ran hydraulic hoses from rear remotes to front of FEL and added crossover relief valve for swinging the blade.

Skip the pin routine, get a QA plate, and a crossover valve on your plow hydraulic lines to/from plow - once and done.

I included pic of plow before I added wings. I ran hydraulic hoses from rear remotes to front of FEL and added crossover relief valve for swinging the blade.

That was my next question... I have rear remotes, but i need to get a valve to control the blade.., any suggestions as to what should I get?

You can run lines from your rear remotes to control a front function. It has been done by a number of readers of this forum.A factory third function install would cost $800 + or-.I have it on mine and it is nice but the rear hook-up will work.

I use a diverter valve from Brian at Fit-Rite-Hydraulics, an approved advertizer on TBN. It bolts to the existing bolt hole in the rear of my left rear fender and routes control of my front mounted grapple, or HLA 2000 snowblade, or my Samuri sickle bar, to the Sure-Grip trigger control 'joystick' handle, replacing the factory FEL lever ball end.
This allows me to pull the trigger to open or close my grapple 'fangs':), to move my plow blade left or right, and to have my sickle bar blades oscillate.
The Sure-grip trigger control I bought from MIE, (Michigan Iron & Equipment), another approved TBN advertiser.
Together they vastly improve my ability to control front, and my rear second set of remotes, allowing me to also run Top-n-Tilt cylinders, from Brian, to control my box blade and brush hog. In my estimation this is the ideal setup, YMMV.

My CK30hst is a 2004 year, pin on bucket, and before Kioti started using the QA mount. I ordered the Kioti QA mount for a newer CK and it fit perfectly. Pulling pins and remounting something is a PITA. My bucket, forks, and snow blade all have QA now. It's very fast. I'd never go back.

To angle my plow, I ran lines from the rear remotes. I added a bracket to the fel mounting post where the normal fel QDs are and added two more. I run lines from the remotes to these QDs which stay on the tractor all the time. The fel arms have their own lines going from the QDs to another bracket on the fel cross brace which has two more QDs and this stays on all the time. The plow has two short lines that connect to these QDs. I did this so I can take off the fel just as it originally comes off and I have two QDs at the front of the fel arms if I want them for something else.

Give me a few days. -2F right now waiting for it to hit -10. Have only been outside with the tractor when I need to plow the driveway. This is when I think about a cab...any kind.

Very nice, I have the same setup, only 2008 I think it is. Did you adapt your existing bucket with a QA plate or something? Mind giving me a ballpark of what it cost you to set up the front end with the QA?

Back in May 2011, the QA mount for the loader arms was $300 plus @ $50 in shipping. It's what Kioti currently used on their newer model KL130 loaders. It fits perfectly. Just pull your pins, remove the bucket, and install the mount. I ended up getting the newer Kioti bucket that is set up for the QA and is larger than my original. Any brand QA bucket will work or you could weld on a QA plate to yours. I'm pretty sure Michigan Iron has the QA plates and probably could get you the Kioti QA mount. Nice people to deal with. I still have my original pin on bucket and occasionally pull pins and remount when I'm doing some nasty rock work. The QA mount does move the bucket a few inches forward so your lift and curl will be a little less. Enough that I can notice it but not a problem.

Thanks Vic!

I wish i could find something that would work that quick at that price to convert my ck2510. It would save alot of time, measuring and welding to switch to the ssqa.

What does QDs stand for?

Quick Detach fittings, ( end of hydraulic hose, male or female coupling, 'fittings'). And in this thread they're talking about the FEL arm ends that have 'feet' that quick attach to a plate welded or bolted to an implement like a bucket or grapple, etc.
