Kubota BX2360
Hi all,

I am interested in purchasing a quick hitch for my Kubota BX2360.

I am torn as to which style works best; the Pat's Easy Change or something heavier such as the JD iMatch.

Keep in mind it is a SCUT so I am limited by the weight I can carry with my three point.

Any thoughts?

Have you searched at all? There must be at least 10 current threads about this-plus many more non-current.

This is very much a Ford/Chevy type question, some will swear by the iMatch (me included) and some will at them...and want the PEC.

Everybody has their opinion, you will form yours by reading the threads mentioning PATS system.

All pros and cons are discussed in the numerous threads on the topic.

You can either do your own research... or just take my word for it...you want a PATS system:D I have one and it's been great.

Okay, I did some searching. Thanks for the advice. I have one final question.

How much lift capacity do I lose when I extent my 3PH 3-4 inches? Is it noticible?

Any tractor of mine would HAVE to have an iMatch.

Pros... Hook up-drop an implement in about 5 seconds.

cons... Kind of expensive. Still the best $300 I spent

I never noticed any loss in capacity, rate of lift or anything else with the PEC. Do you intend to lift something nearing the capacity of your 3PH?

One thing I did have to do was to buy a PTO extender (for the chipper) since the chipper's PTO drive shaft was too short (probably had been trimmed to fit the previous owner's (of the chipper) tractor. This was with the PEC, but it would have applied to a QH too.

I have some pretty big rocks in my back yard that I would like make a rock wall out of. The big rocks, I estimate to be nearly 600lbs, at capacity for my BX. To hoist up the rocks I plan on using a 1000lb Cat 1 boom pole.

The published capacity of your three point lift will be at some distance (possibly zero inches) from the ball end of the draft arms. If you add distance backwards from those ball ends, you loose lift capacity. If your extender is a six or eight foot boom pole, your lift will be WAY less than published. Adding a quick hitch adds three or four inches backwards so reduces capacity but not by much.
If $300 sounds like too much for a JD quick hitch, consider a Speeco instead. TSC has them for well under a hundred bucks. Mine has lasted ten years so far. No issues. I prefer the Speeco because the top hook is adjustable, instead of fixed, so you can tune it to the majority of your attachments, and then change the remaining attachments that don't fit. Saves time.
