Quick Attach Pro/Cons

Sorry. I was wrong. Its been about ten years since I bought my Speeco, so I guess I forgot what I paid. And I was confusing the Speeco with the Chinese one. As you said, it is about a hundred. Agrisupply has it for about a hundred. Harbor freight too. I hate buying that stuff, but frankly if you are on a tight budget, it appears to me that the Chinese one is the SAME design as the Speeco, and it would not surprise me to find out they are made in the same factory. Given a choice of 229 for the Speeco or 300 for the JD, I'd today probably choose the JD. On the other hand, the Speeco has an adjustable position upper hook, and I understand the JD does not. That adjustable upper hook helps a lot as you try to decide what your "standard" configuration will be, if you have attachments from various manufacturers like I do. Good luck....

Yesterday, the wife was out shopping so I had her stop by HF and pick up a quick hitch. It was on sale $79.99 plus I had a 20% off coupon. $63.99 + tax, so for about $68 I could have a quick hitch.

I explained to her that I wanted her to measure the distance between the ends and it should be 27.5".... She got there and called and said The box says 28.5" and when she measured it, it was 26.5". And of course The web says it is 27.5". I told her to just buy it and if it was wrong I could return it.

When she got it home, I immediately measured it and it was 27.5" between the two lower hooks. She was measuring between the two down tubes (my fault for explaining it wrong to her).

It looks pretty solid. I can't see how you could or would need to make it much more heavy duty.

I took it out and tried to hook it up to my one attachment. It connected right up to my BX42 wood chipper (I did have to adjust the top hook lower).... I will need to get those sleeves for the pins from TSC because the pins that came with the wood chopper are pretty small when sitting in the quick hitch hooks.

I am in the market for a box blade so I will make sure of the width for the lower hooks and that it will allow the top hook to just slip up and in before I buy it.

Seems to me $68 is worth it, I could buy 4 HF for the cost of 1 JD one.
Is the JD 4 times better?

Hi all,

I am interested in purchasing a quick hitch for my Kubota BX2360.

I am torn as to which style works best; the Pat's Easy Change or something heavier such as the JD iMatch.

Keep in mind it is a SCUT so I am limited by the weight I can carry with my three point.

Any thoughts?

I have IMatch quick hitches and am well satisfied with them.

About the gin pole does it pin in to the tractor without using the top link? That would make all of this a moot point. I have to say moving rocks with a gin pole can be a difficult way to accomplish your tasks.

I second the HF hookup. Best $65 spent on tractor even if did need the mod to widen.

I've got a Speeco on my JD 2305. Bought mine at Princessauto, which is Canada's "answer" to TSC, Harbourfreight, etc. Both the plastic grips were wrecked on the lock lift handles. Contacted Speeco and they shipped out a replacement set no questions asked. Pretty good customer service, and it works really well to boot.
