Quick attach question

   / Quick attach question #11
I have the same tractor and mine is reverse. Mine stays in the unlock position but works loose (not in the full lock positon) with implements on. The pins stay in the mounts but the lever flops. I didn't really see much adjustment so I just hold it in position with a tarp tie down. I'll keep an eye on the thread!

Don't you think it is a little ridiculous to use a tarp tie down on a 20K plus machine?:D

I don't have any grease fittings on the pins. Maybe just try and clean them up and apply some grease to the pins. After you grease the pins up they will be full of dirt again in a short time.

I personally think something is wrong. Any input from dealers yet?

Donny, look and see if you could install a grease fitting. Ours go in from either side. Greasing regularly forces the dirt out. The NH skidsteer engineered arrangement is very slick. When you lock the arms down, you feel a confident postive lock. I always do the check for the through pins, and a visual check also. Then off to the "races".

I don't think grease is the issue. The pins and the linkage move very freely up to the point where the plates need to slide to the outside. One of these plates will move if pushed but the other will not slide sideways at all and that prevents the first plate from moving on it's own. That in turn keeps the linkage from locking in the pins up position.

Maybe this calls for a dry graphite lubricant like.....'slip plate'.

TSC stocks it in spray and brush on....

Maybe the tractor should come with a bungee cord installed option.

Mine just has a single lever in the center that works both sides. Thanks anyway.

Must be a differant setup than on my DK 35 . I have the 2 lever skid steer type QA. ( No problems with it.. Works good).

I did lube it and it worsened!

I just look at it as a safety device ............... :)

I took some pictures of the quick attach setup on my 45S. I took pictures in the locked and unlocked positions. Looking at it up close, my opinion is the 2 springs {one on each side} are not strong enough to keep the latch locked in the unlocked position. You can see some wear on the sliding mechanism. The springs look like they should keep the sliding mechanism in the unlocked position by applying upward pressure. Anybody else have any opinions about it?
