Quick change link arms

There are companies in the EU that has these types on ends. My hard drive crashed big time last week or I would post some links to them. There is a Australian company called Bareco that has the claw for third arms. Bareco now has a outlet in Calif. so they are available here now. Claw ends for third arm

Do u make these or are u just a salesman?
If u make these, what about a set that replaces the NH sliding style lower links.
I think u would have to watch length of pto shafts w/ this extension.

well they look very simular to the ones used on the german Holder brand little articulated tractors, they have front and rear 3pts and the ends of the arms look very simular to those, they look like a very nicely machined product, but i see a few problems, first you couldnt use them on an implement like a plow that would need to sway side to side since ya no longer have the function of the little ball joints, but i suppose most compact tractor implements are usualy locked rigid anyhow so thats not a big deal, the other thing is that you may need a bit longer toplink and pto shaft as well. i dont see how these are supposed to be so wonderfull anyhow, ya still need to get off the tractor to hook them up dont you? and ya still gota fiddle with the toplink too, so why is it so hard to simply slip the two little balls over your lower lift pins and drop a lynch pin thru? especialy on a little compact tractor, i mean heck i hook up 3pt stuff on a 100hp tractor all the time, and i do it the old fashioned way and dont think its that hard. maybe i just dont drink enought flavored latte to understand?

I'm kinda with you on this, Markct. I hook up all kinds of things to the little & big tractors here - just got a 15 row bean planter on a 3pt bar this year, that's big! - and don't have much trouble hooking up to the 140hp tractor. Just use the regular old 3-point way of doing it. On the little tractors, you can rock the tractor to make things fit - that's easy! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Try switching between the field cutivator & the planter a couple times a day on the big fellas..... /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Some folks really like the regular quick hitch setups, but I have so many implements, & 7 tractors, everything is a little different dimension, so it would be too big a hassle/ expense!

I do see these claw things as handy for some stuff. They are more flexable & adaptable to different implements rather than a quick hitch. But how do you hold the arms the right width to back up & snatch? And pto issues, top link farther back, moving a heavy load back a few inches - has it's good points, and some questions about how it works, too. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Got to figure the trade-offs.

If I got a first little tractor, I'd be happy just going with the standard 3-point. You can always add a quick hitch or these grab hooks if you want to later - after you find a need. My opinion.

I hook up stuff on 200+hp Case MFWD but it is still a pain and most of this big farm tractors come w/ a Q-T, i know cause ours are setting in the barn.
The large tractors have lots more play in the arms and the extending links help a lot too.
When I'm putting a new yard I switch attachments every 15-30 minutes so any to make it easier is a big help.
BTW that is why I've adapted most things to the SSL, I can switch fast right from the seat.
If they aren't going to make a set to swap w/ the lower arms on the NH style I may build a set myself, my buddy is low on wire EDM work.

Im real new to the' hooking things to a 3pt hitch' game . Before I got my tractor I thought Id like to have a quick hitch. Now, that I have some practical experience, Im thinking Id rather spend my money on something else. If youre switching implements frequently then I imagine theyre a big time saver (probably). However, youll probably still have to get out of the seat to hook the top link and/or PTO. Also quick hitches dont help if youre pulling w/ the draw bar. Initially I thought hooking up would be a huge job...in reality its pretty easy. Maybe thats b/c I havent experienced some of the 'tougher' implements but I still dont see that it would be that bad. Granted implements for a CUT usually arent that heavy and can be horsed into position (submission?). I also drop implements where itll be easiest to pick them back up but those areas certainly arent flat either so hitch pts dont match perfectly. jimg

Hip,

Any special pricing for the guys here at tractorbynet?

They look cool but any idea how much they (or any other quick attach system) reduce the 3pt lift capacity?
